2006 Inductee
ED SHERIDAN

1972 graduate of Sparta High School;
1976 graduate of Princeton University; inducted for his achievements in
football, baseball and basketball; in high school earned the maximum of
nine varsity letters, three in each sport for three years; he was
captain of all three teams his senior year; in football, in his senior
year, he was first team All Conference, first team All County and first
team All Area as quarterback; voted most valuable player on the Sparta
team as he completed 67% of his passes; his teams won the Skyline
Conference in both his sophomore and senior years
In high school basketball, he was named
second team All County and honorable mention All Conference his senior year;
in high school baseball, he was All County and second team All Conference
his senior year
At Princeton he was captain of the football
team in 1975; he earned three varsity letters as a defensive back/free
safety; earned All Ivy Conference Second Team and Coaches Award for
dedication and leadership as senior; had a “career” game against Colgate
University as a senior during which game he had twenty two tackles and two
interceptions; for his performance in the Colgate game he was selected the
ECAC defensive player of the week |
